Comparatives and superlatives of adjectives :
We use the comparative and superlative to compare two or more things, animals, people... ect We use the following comparative and superlative forms:
Comparative: Adjective + er + than
Superlative: the + Adjective + est
One syllable adjective:

| Tall | Taller than | The tallest | 
| Large | Larger than | The largest | 
If the one-syllable adjective ends with a single consonant with a vowel before it, we double the consonant
One syllable adjective:

Two syllable adjective ending with « Y >> or << w > :

Two, three or more syllable adjective, we use the following forms :
Comparative: More + adjective + than
Superlative: The most + adjective
