Affixes are letters that are added before the root (prefixes).
after the root (suffixes).
eg:over + population : overpopulation.
interest + ing : interesting.
Here are some prefixes: de - re-dis - mis-over-pre-il- in -im - trans - co-en-ext.
These prefixes are used to form new verbs, nouns or adjectives.
